In answering the question posed in the thread title:

It differes very little for the upper end of the spoectrum (ie 99+ UAI could expect <0.20 variation last year)

It can differ greatly (say 1 UAI point) the lower it gets (eg 80's UAI)

although i would be cautious this year due to it being the first year involving ATAR's

Depends on the person and the type of calculator used. I think SAM's estimate differed by either 0.05 or 0.1 last year for me.

2006 gave me 96.xx
I got exactly 96.00

hey i got an estimate of around 95.20 but commerce is 95.70!!!
Omfg im so pissed..u think i can get in with HSC PLUS??

Varied by half a point (downwards), from low 98 to mid/high 97
