what do you mean class size?
in lectures we have the whole year sitting in so i guess around 200 students (maybe 180 accounting for those who are skipping lectures or sick). For tutorials it's about 15 and they're conducted in tutorial rooms.

Do what you think works. Don't adopt someone else's style just because it's what someone else thinks they want - figure out what works best for you.

Crossing your legs, speaking purely in terms of body language, is a "defensive" posture. However, if you just feel more comfortable that way, then it's not something to worry about. What's most important is that you demonstrate truth. if you're uncomfortable don't try to hide it, say so and explain why. If you don't know why, just tell them you're feeling nervous and a bit uncomfortable - they understand.
