Re: For those doing psyc

it'd be good doing them together as alot of the stuff overlaps, when you're doing similar things you tend to understand both better.

they don't want you to do it, but you can easily do it.
however, it's very expensive through summer school.

yeh i think it's like 2500 per subject. i don't know if it's a good idea to do both of them at the SAME time...believe it or not, workload is petty tough.

it's also a good idea to do psyc1002 in summer school, and do psyc 1001 in first semester. which i think stas did/is doing.

Thanks people

I think I'll do it...I need something to do in the summer break lol. Bit worried about the workload. It's about a 21ish hour week if I do both in summer school. About 4 hours average a day...so that shouldn't be too bad I hope...

I thought you're not allowed to do both PSYC1001 & PSYC1002 at the same time in summer school, although both are offered. (I think classes are on at the same time or something like that.)

Don't remember whether I heard it from the Psyc staff or read it from the handbook...

Does anyone know what subjects are in Psyc 1002 next semester? how much of an overlap is there? looking at the contents page of the text book we covered quite a bit in 1001, or is it more in depth in 1002 (if we have to do more subject matter i swear to effing christ i'll kill myself and take that woman down with me)

developmental psych is great
perception is nice, though boring when it starts off
learning and motivation is allright bit boring
mental abilities - well im assuming thats 'intelligence' if so, its easy
emotion is boring and shit but easy
cognitive processes is just intertwined with 'mental abilities' i guess.

did all of those last year so hopefully i'll be less apathetic this coming semester.
