im doing the same thing for fort st and i have legitimately no clue on what to do. like i dont think i even have an adversity good enough to write about.

I was thinking that I could write about war in my home country but I feel like I was too young to actually have an experience of that so it's not really a good adversity? Idk

I think it should be more relevant to your current self like in the last few years as it can show how you developed from it and your current character. How are you structuring yours? I'm not sure if I should do more discursive style or just stick to essay structure.

I've gone back there recently so Im sure i can link it back to how i have developed from it, Im currently unsure of what structure Im doing so Im going to write 2 or 3 and pick the best one lmao. Which school are you applying for and how are you studying?

You could try talking about the adversity people experienced in your home country and how talking to people there like family members led to being more empathetic etc. I'm applying for Fort st, St George girls and Caringbah. I've just been practicing writing under exam conditions as my writing isn't that good.

i think u talk about how adversity has impacted ur life and how u ended up learning from that

example: u have adhd, due to that you struggled with learning. through that adversity, you ended up learning how to adapt ur learning methods to learn in your own unique way and it also taught you to be more understanding of others with disabilities

also keep in mind it doesnt need to be a huge fucking adversity. the people applying to fort st arent likely to be people who have experienced huge adversities in their own lives

I could just analyse the quote and add in my experience of war in Syria and how it has impacted me. Also including what I have learnt and how I want to feel more connected to where I am from, therefore helping me to grow or wtvr? Would that be enough?

ive never applied to fort st so def get advice from others. i think there are tutors who specifically look over your own essay, but there may be some past students from fort st who may be happy to have a look over it.

Nah mate still waiting. I think itll come out late sep - late oct. Anyways I think in the interview stage youre already basically accepted bc they wouldnt waste their time on other people, thats just what I think though. How do you think you did on the essay?

Yeah same I thought mine was shit so Im hoping for HAST to clutch me. I think they already looked at the essay but they got a lot of people applying so theres probably other stuff to look at like reports, HAST and naplan
