Re: Youtube Embedding

P.P.S. Wow I didn't even know you could track a post's editing history! Freaky!
How do you do this?

Edit: nevermind, I just saw an edited post.

Any chance of LaTeX rendering? It would help out infinitely in the math forums.

As a temporary measure until I have time to setup a proper LaTeX interface, you can use the [ maths ] tag (without spaces).

For example:

[ maths ]\int_{1}^{2} x^{2} - 1[ /maths ]

produces:

[maths]\int_{1}^{2} x^{2} - 1[/maths]

In the meantime you can use this equation editor to figure out how to write your equations in code form.

Any way to add a date restriction on the similar threads list generated? So people don't resurrect 5 year old threads?

But the 5 year old threads are the best.

Reminiscent of BOS at its peak. :(

Edit: LOL at the thread in question. Andrew Quah was partner in a web design company? Haha.

It's good that we're able to now right click, copy and paste in the reply box.

There is no point in keeping a database of six years worth of threads if we want to hide them away from people - there's a lot of useful information buried within those threads.

Perhaps a better solution might be to find a way to automatically close really old threads?

There are sometimes genuine reasons for resurrecting a thread though...

Yeah that might be a better solution, but I see the last point may be troublesome for certain sections which are genuinely still on track.

edit: Perhaps you could make a game out of it, it would take away some rep to access these older files, kinda like a user pays system! *chuckle*

OMG the LaTeX interface would be awesome! I've only just started familiarising myself with the LaTeX language so yeah...:D

What I thought was going to be a routine kernel upgrade ended up failing and then had to be fixed.

Very frustrating.

Schroe - yes, I suppose here is as good a place as any.

The priority right now is server optimisation, but I am happy to consider features that are relatively quick and painless to implement.

Any chance of stickied thread being more 'noticable' for all the little bos nooblings?
