Hi everybody I know a lot of schools don't give their students free periods in year 11 and 12 but because of this I struggle because it not much time for me to get heaps of practice but
Luckily I would get one free period depending on what subject drop next term year 12 how do you cope any type with the workload.

I'm sure a lot of schools (if not most) students would at least have one free period a week

With regards to coping with any type of workload, you would need to consider how much work your school gives you for homework and whether or not you're in a situation whether you have an exam coming up.

If your situation isn't in the context of an exam coming up you would need to do all necessary homework given (even if your teacher doesn't give you homework, I still recommend doing textbooks questions or something to consolidate your learning) and study a bit for exams (not too intensely or else you will burn out)

If you do have exams coming up, you should've finished all your school HW so then you could focus on exams.

But we get a lot of homework and our textbook according to our school are terrible and not useful so I am always using bored of studies resources. And we try to finish a topic in two weeks max (I am referring to all the subjects except ancient history) And like every other regular school we have our daily subjects each day.

Would this mean you finish your course a bit earlier, and therefore have more revision lessons to prepare for the yearlies?

I had no free periods in Year 11 myself, but I coped. Perhaps try to section out a period of time to only do homework that's due the next day/maths homework, then have another time for "longer period" homework tasks like assignments and studying for tests. It certainly did help in Year 12 to have study periods, but if you spend this time socialising with friends/watching movies/generally procrastinating/sleeping, then it becomes redundant.

I did SOR in year 11 and dropped SDD so I've got 9 study periods of 1 hr 40 mins each and one 50 minute one per fortnight which is heaps to do homework (and nap sometimes). For the workload I actually just stay up late till like 2-3 everyday doing homework since we get heaps and when I get home I'm too lazy since I feel like there's lots of time. When's it like midnight I'm like "crap it's late" so yeah I end up working faster.

Year 12 has a lot of work so be ready.
