we're not allowed to go out in our frees but they dont really check, in my frees I chat with friends and usually end up going on the net, chatting or taking photos/video clips on her mobile x-/

I used to have a double free right before a double maths that no-one else did... so in the period before I would take orders and make a run for gloria jeans in the free... then everyone had hot coffee right through maths!! :)

In year 11 and the beginning of year 12, my free periods meant extra recess or lunch because all I did was socialize. Then at the business end of year 12, I became alot more "studious" because I knew when I came home, I'd bum around on BOS :p

I only have 1 free period where I have to be at school, normally its spent bumming around doing nothing.

i've got a double free tomorrow morning so I don't have to be at school until 10:30. oh how i love the freedom of being able to rock up late, thermos in hand, the mad dash to the office to sign in and frantically going to roll call!!!!

I did - utilised my free periods (wait, no study periods) to my advantage (studying) most of the time. More so last yr than other yrs, then again, I only had 2X 4hr classes per week 6pm-10pm :D. So I basically had all day to study 7X a week.

that would be good wouldn't it, but remember you also have lunchtime and stuff ^.^

but doing your homework is good, just make sure not to overdo it...so you don't feel crap in the next class...good luck!

free periods are called 'study periods' at our school to remind ourselves that we have to study which hardly anyone does anyway. We end up chatting with each other cuz there's just so many people around you.

People didn't even bother to hang around to chat during the free periods at my school. They just went home and even though they always get busted, it's never stopped them. :D

A few of us did actually use the time to study though.. those who made it into university (that's actually ten out of a hundred and twenty-ish students). :p

The last 2 secondary schools I went to emphasised it's not "free periods" it's a "study period". In fact the VCE coordinator went right off at anyone who termed it as being a 'free'. :D

at the moment i have something like 21 frees a fortnight, i always leave early/arrive late whenever possible. the ones i have during the day i usually stay at school cuz i'm too lazy to walk home, esp if its only 1 free (like having 1st class then 2nd free cuz then i have roll call as opposed to 4th free then lunch), as it'd only give me like 30 mins here tops. my friends have frees at hardly any of the same times as me, so usually i study (ok, thats a rarely), have lunch, come on bos or just bum round in general.

i 'tried' making notes during my free periods but i ended up socialising or secretly run around the school recuiting people to join me! :D.. but that was rare.. unless u was desperate! having a deck of cards comes on handy :p

on the other hand about 25% i would actually study and 'try' to do work..
