hahahaha are you fucking serious, coal ash is more radioactive than nuclear piles.

Wasn't endorsing coal; just pointing out that we shouldn't jump eagerly from one leaky boat to another without an open and honest discussion of the pros and cons.

Yes, human error tends to be the leading contributor to nuclear accidents, but y'know, we haven't a cure for that yet... And on a more sustainability-related note, uranium mining ain't exactly green.

Don't know enough about thorium as an alternative fuel source to have this conversation, but it does seem to be preferable to uranium? Know enough to break it down for us?

We do have a cure for human error, actually. Technology. Melt-downs are essentially impossible now due to technological fail-safes.
