Yeeeeesssss but probably more 15-16 year old girls getting married off to 22/23 year old boys.

I'd wager that still happens today - but they're not being 'married', they're just... making babies without making babies.

It was probably based on relationships at that time where 13 year olds were falling in love just like now where there are movies about shit like teen pregnancy.
