I am extremely frustrated!!! :burn:

As of next week i will be missing out on 1 maths lesson a week. This means that student to teacher time is reduced. The principal has decided to average out the staff shortage between seniors and juniors. So for any class less than 11 people, they will have less teacher time and are expected to study in the library during that free period.

Basically, im screwed for maths now... :bomb:Our teacher is also going away on holidays for 3 weeks which also means less time to learn.. Is there anything i can do?? Because if i dont get this fixed i am basically going to walk into the hsc exam knowing that i will not get a very desirable mark..

Sorryy... venting anger... :burn:

*Breathes deeply to calm herself*

What would you do in my situation? How would you go about getting it fixed?

ARRRRGGGGG :burn::spzz::bomb::burn::spzz::bomb::burn::spzz::bomb:

Ouch, that sucks. Get your parents to ring the school, etc, etc, try getting into another class, etc, etc, move to another school, etc, etc, kill yourself, etc, etc.

hey heard theres this thing right - where you open a textbook yea, and you read it and hopefully it'll help you learn.

oh wait that's called self-teaching

Ok, this happens in a lot of schools and can work well or bring disasters. You need to talk to your teacher and ensure they are going to give you set work that needs to be done during that period and you need to ensure you complete it.

see if you can negotiate with your teacher a time when you can come up to see them for help.

1 less lesson isn't a hell of a lot. Get a good textbook (I'm assuming you're 2U), and go through every exercise and do every question. Or at least do 90% of them. A good textbook is Fitzpatrick, as it covers everything 2U for all of Year 11/12 in just one book. It's about $50. Start at the beginning, or whever you feel it's no longer self explanatory and starts to get hard, and just do all the exercises as extra work. You should do fine.

Judging by this post, it probably wouldn't make a difference to you if she could

The maths teacher is just there if you don't understand something. Other than that, they never do much apart from give you the formula then tell you to do exercises..

If i was you. I would go complain, but not just you, get every single person in your math class to come along with you. People power always works. If theyre still pretty mean about it, get everyones parents to call up. That always works :)

Yeah, same thing happened to me this year. I ended getting 76 scaled for the subject. Luckily my accelerated subject was in the early 90s which jacked up me UAI estimate by 15 aggregates. Phew!
