Re: What UAI are you aiming for?

I am really hoping for something between 95-100 and I'll be doing Commerce /law at whichever university my UAI will allow me to get into.

  1. Commerce UNSW (Actuarial Co-op program) = 99+ preferred, I guess
  2. Actuarial Degree Macquarie University = 98.5+ preferred for scholarship
  3. Advanced Science (Advanced Mathematics) = 98.95
  4. Combined Law at USYD = 98.45+ because of my EAS
  5. Teaching Degree at USYD = 80+
OR I can choose anything from 1-4 and try to do teaching degree part-time.

But I will be happy with any UAI as long as I know that I tried my best. (with my true potential observed during HSC)

They are just preferred courses. I will be happy with any course related to maths, commerce and biology. (probably english to some extent).
How'd you get EAS?

Well... I am talking about merit scholarship by Macquarie Uni. You need to get over 98.5 to apply. So I wanna get over that.

I'd like:
1.B Engineering/B Law at Usyd: 99.55 (practically impossible to get for me)
2.B Engineering (Space/Mechatronics) at Usyd: 98.8 (Also impossible)
3.B Science/B Engineering (Mechatronics) at Usyd: 93-95 (varies)-->Possible
4.B Engineering (Mechatronics) at Usyd:93.8
5.B Engineering at Usyd or UNSW:85+

Having come to Australia 4 years prior to HSC gives me that privilege to apply for EAS for maximum university points of 5 UAI. (depending on the degrees)

Last year, someone got into Combined Law Degree at USYD with 98.45 through EAS scheme. (it was only 1.1 point instead of 5 due to demand).

Not necessarily. There were two people from Trinity Grammar who got in with 99.2 and 99.15.

How do you know this?

Is that just hear-say or do you actually know these people?

I know this. Trinity Grammar published it in its yearly paper. I saw it and I personally have it. Two people in 2007 got in from Trinity Grammar.

What are the options as in "something else" apart from commerce and science?

Re: What UAI are you aiming for?

98.4+ !!

i think that would be indicative of my panache for learning, and my ability to attack incongruous situations with versatility and verve... i would be disappointed with <96... maybe sounds a bit ambitious but i work hard, and that should work in equilibrium with the end mark [i hope].

that's as long as tom the myspace guy doesn't suck away all my literary and grammatical skillZ. i think deleting my myspace would be beneficial pro bono. publico.. but then, i would LyK hAv3 n0 fr3nd$.

ohh and courses?? well! as cliche as it may sound- MEDICINE! where? UNSW! but anywhere would make me a happy cappy-- even india, or madagascar would be a fine place to study medicine imo. i mean, a medical degree's a medical degree- eh?? ;)

but if i get shithouse UMAT results, or some other trauma occurs- i'd be just as happy doing : dentistry [even though thy le crappe umat resulte would inhibit this], software[<3], combined law, actuary, physio, optometry, philosophy, journalism, psychology, forensics or i might just become gypsy kinesiologist who constructs makeshift voodoo dolls out of fluorescent wool for a living or take to the stage and become a broadway musical act.

the sky is our limit!!
