So your parents dont notice that you are at the casino 4-5 nights a week, yet they would open your personal bank statements?

Do they know that you're a total liar?

and fyi, $2500 is a totally insufficient bankroll, even of $80NL.
idk when you're one tabling and playing people that bad I think it's fine, only problem is that it's super high variance with stack size in relation to blinds.
Also, right on breaking!

AFAIK they dont. And It's plenty... 15 buy-ins is enough for 1tabling 2/3 at crown. The quality of play is fucking terrible, trust me. I even short-stack 2/5 every now and then, but I agree that im underrolled for that, and the players are much higher quality.

"katie_tully: im just perplexed about why they'd open his bank statement
hsc 2007, so ur what 17/18?

dude, be like 'hay mum dad got a bank account, fuck off and dont open my shit'"

18. Mum already runs a bank account of mine, but I have no access... college money etc. So she could just say why don't you add it to this one..

"Enteebee: btw, u can get electronic statements (at least at westpac), that's what I do so I just never have to read them."

Hmm ok thanks- I'll ask the bank about that. Would be a simple enough solution.

amazing how many people don't understand this.

Anyway- thanks for the help guys.
I opened a PObox for 100$ (Reduced rates only apply to country areas, but still worth it) And opened a westpac account, with internet banking anyway.

It now has 7500$ and I don't have to worry about any of this crap anymore.

Cheers...

Poker is a game of skill, I'd hardly call it gambling. If you've made $2500 I'd say you're pretty decent and should keep at it...

As for storing the money, a bank account is the most secure option. You could hire a Post Office Box to have the statements sent to if you're really worried about your parents opening your mail.
You are one of those fuckheads who think they are really witty are you?

Maybe open up a bank account and send the mail to a friend's house or somethin'.

Hi guys,

I'm a poker addict, and I play in the casino about 4-5 nights a week.
I been building up my "bankroll" (money to play poker with) and atm I've got about 2500$.

Heres the problem- My parents have no idea I gamble. (at least i think). If they found out they'd be furious. But I certainly don't like walkin around all day with 2500 in my wallet, so what do I do?

I'm a bit concerned if i hide it in the house somewhere they may find it =/
And if i put it in a savings account, they have to mail u something every now and then (I live at home).

thoughts?

Why should that bother you? It's his money, he can spend how he likes.

We wouldn't be so shit if you didn't make up dumb stories.

I don't believe that story for a second.

"lolz omg but he lies to me. i know he is gambling but he tells me he is going somewhere else lolz". Fucking idiot, it's not a big secret if you know where he is going, is it?
