Sustainabile management...... :S hmmm, it sounds extremely useless.

Oh, What subjects you doing next semester ?

You ganna follow the "recommended" course structure? or just do your own.

Mine are ENGG1811
CEIC1001 (Engineering Chem)
MATH1231
ECON1101. (Microeconmics)

What mark do you guys need to pass Physics?
I calculated mine at 7% for the final exam..
Pretty cool since i havent attended a physics lecture since the Joe wolfe era

I would, but to tell you the truth, ive thrown SOME of my lab ones away, and they are so freakn easy. If you need any help with any of them you can post the questions here and ill be happy to help you. Though ill look for ones that i havent thrown away.

Ive written "Notes" for Materials and chemistry but i guess they are cheap rip-offs of the tutorial notes.

Oh and another thing, for tutes, you dont need to attend materials tutes.. and chemistry tutes come along once every 2 weeks and are very helpful (and compulsry) although you can just go and tick your name off for all of them at once.

EDIT: oh and one more thing, you dont need to hand in lab reports at the end of every lab, you can hand them in a week after youve done them in the lab

EDIT EDIT: oh for the midsession the chemistry part is EXACTLY the same as the revision sheet,
AND i THINK they give the same midsession to every year as they dont release the papers back! and dont release past papers
fuck yes, i hate that stupid tute on friday 2 - 3 pm or was it 3 - 4 pm ?
fuck that i want to leave latest 2pm on a friday.
<3 2008 s1 fridays.

but hey man if youre selling the mats1101 prescribed textbook for 75% unsw booksop price or less ill buy.
k thnx.

hey man youre doing engineering/commerce arent you?
i thought they usually do ACCT1501 during semester 2

btw ENGG1811 is so much less stressful than COMP1911.

ahahahahahaha.
i need like 50% for TEST 1R and 2

engg1811 is almost as bludgy as engg1000. easy enough that tutorials arent needed.
comp1911 is like a full dedicated computing subject by itself like math1131/1141 as maths and phys1121/1131 as physics are and all these courses have tutorials (for da helpz).

fuck i hated comp1911 because of all these several errors that pop up each time i compile a program and the comp1911 tutorials completely ate up my precious friday afternoons.

lol, i didnt buy the textbooks. They are basicallly useless, You dont need either of them.
The online tutorials for MATS1101 are AWESOME in terms of understanding the work . they are basically better than the textbook.

There is also a seperate "prescribed" textbook for Chemistry. but once again it is COMPLETELY and utterly useless, as the first parts of chemistry are simply year 12 stuff and the lecture notes ARE EXTREMELY detailed for chemistry so thats good.

Only the last part "organic chemistry" is pretty difficult so you may need some help ( i advise you actually attend the lecturers here) But ive simply looked up some of the organic stuff on the net and i understand it now.

Im basically averaging a HD for MATS1101 and i havent attended ANY LECTURE OR TUTORIAL since around week 3 so that should give you an insight into how the course is.
(NOTE: though, like any other course if you dont put the effort you wont go good in it)

Yer i am doing eng/comm :)
Actually, first year is ALL ENGINEERING subjects. then year 2 you do 1 commerce subject in semester 1 and 1 commerce subject in semester 2.

But if you remember earlier i wanted to do game theory (ECON2112) so i could PWN star casino, and since ECON1101 is a pre-requsiste, I have to do that first. (Also ECON1101 is one of my core subjects for commerce so i have to do it anyway)

Dont worry im doing TEST1R and for some reason it looks "easier" (shivers)

Also we've seen the stuff before thats being tested in 1R so that can only work in our advantage.

then hey omium do you download michael burton's physics notes then and like read them later ?

coz if michael burton's notes are like mats1101 lecture notes then i prolly wont need textbook lol.
michael's notes are like summaries of textbook but i still attend anyway after what the fuck happened during midsession exam.

me is moar than 7x that olol.
try for 1000 posts lol.
or 10,000.
but ill announce my plans lol.

when my premium expires i wont be using this account but another one, will explain more when premium actually expiars, like march next year

stuvac is boring, im here at the civil lab level 2.
just consulted two lecturers.
when i saw Mak i thought to myself "am i at a medical centre coz this guy looks like an asian doctor".
but the Pahor guy is pretty cool, even tho he was late.

now revising calculus, i mean bloody calculus, so much bloody proofs and definitions and so on.

EDIT: LOL THNX BIGTYMA for the UNSW engo (esp 1st yr) spam thread, awesome!

Hey yeah, the proof is in the lecture attendance.
While Dr. Pete is around, the class is like half to two-thirds full.
Once Pahor comes in the lecture is almost full or completely full.

No notes, just a simple lecture.
Often his teachings are an alternative to the tutorial notes.

lol boris fuck off

They are basically alike, lol when you download the lecture notes that actually have notes on them telling you which page on the textbook to get the exact information

I WAS JUST THERE. my friend is a civil engineering student who has never logged into any of the computers.... I wanted to steal his 400 free pages ( i think) so i could print empty pages....... but it didnt work (couldnt log in)

lol i printed out 180 empty pages from the chem eng computer lab just so i could get spare papers for my printer at home. they were so warm :shy:

lol the point is in physics is dont remember formulas but how physical principles and laws are applied.
i posted a thread about this in the unsw physics forums.

about my other username not telling u lol.
clue is im an official informant lol.
youll figure it out.
its because when my premium runs out my inbox size makes like a mini and less powerful black hole than shrinks from 600 to 200 and i have more than 200 and i cant clean out coz theyre good pms.

hey man you have until 4:30pm to hunt me down, im behind the column where the printer is lol

btw if u havent solved 9c ill produce a part-maple output of the answer

ok
What i do is initially let "Lamda" = 0 to get your first point on the line

which will be (1,0,2)

Next just choose "Lamda" = 1 to get another point on the line. this other point will now be (0,1,4)

Now the point is (-2,2,7)

So let A = (1,0,2) let B = (-2,2,7) and let C = (0,1,4)

so Vector AB = (-3,2,5)
and Vector AC = (-1,1,2)

So Proj(b)A = (-1,1,2)(-3,2,5)/|(-1,1,2|)

So this = 15/(squareroot of 6)

Now length of AB = Squareroot of 38.

so using pythagoras we get

37.5 + x^2 = 38

x= 1/root(2)

oof lol ill have to STAND UP.
Then walk ALL THE WAY to the door.
Exit the chemical engineering building.
Take the LONGG WALK up the VERY LONG walkway
walk up THE LONGG STAIRS.
Enter through the entrance of the building
then walk ALL the WAY to the computer lab.

lol, Im fat and lazy.

lol forget maple, but my answer is different.

project (- 2,2,7) on direction of line x = (1,0,2) + λ (-1,1,2)

direction d is (-1,1,2)

projd (- 2,2,7) = (- 2, 2, 7) . (- 1, 1, 2) . d / |d2|

= 2 + 2 + 14 (- 1, 1, 2) / 1 + 1 + 4

= 3 (- 1, 1, 2)

= (- 3, 3, 6)

isnt it what the answer said?

btw cant draw here.

Big bearded guy.
I heard Bose is pretty good too from a friend, but he isn't my lecturer though.
