No, there was no direct case study question. But the 6 marker short answer that asked about globalisation in relation to environmental sustainability, that's where you would talk about your case study essentially to get the full 6 marks.
Okay yeah that's what I did, I was lucky my case study was china because that fits so well for the Q.

You are not given that information. That is what i'm saying. Its basic economics, a tariff decrease will subsequently reduce government revenue. You should approach the question without looking at the diagram, as the diagram is just for the $5 tariff situation.
You can't reduce revenue if you don't have any revenue initially.

Read the question. The diagram is for both, and if it happened to only be for one of them, it would be for $10. Because that's the initial tariff.

Because they didn't specifically, do you still lose marks if you don't talk about your case study?

Band 6 cut-off predictions?

Overall I liked the short response except for the CAD advantage. WTF and my essay for unemployment is probably going to get like 11/20 since I ran out of time.

I thought the MCQ's were hard and confusing. In eco I always get confused because there can be several outcomes for one thing and sometimes more than one option seems right

But I did think that the paper was harder than last years though.

Guess It depends on your answer.. I think band 6 response would require some kind of example.. If you talked about Australia and ESD I think you could probably get full marks

Good job! That's what you're suppose to do. The Board of Studies put it there instead of as an essay so you don't have a choice to avoid it per se.

Lol mate. Im not going to waste my time arguing with you. A government would not implement a tariff if they were getting no revenue. Simply as that.

mate you're wrong. i put B as well. but it's D, deadset. If there's a $10 tariff then foreign producers have 0 advantage, don't come here and gvmt gets no revenue. Just calculate the area under the curves to find the exact monterary value of the gvmt revenue.

How much do you guys reckon you have to write in order to get 16+ in the essays. I wrote 5 each, with tonnes of stats, moderate sized handwriting. Enough? Coulda and shoulda written a little more, especially for the unemployment one but whatevs. Mid to high 80's i'm hoping. Is that enough to get a 92 or maybe even 93?

I accidentally wrote my second essay on spare booklets because I didn't realise the writing booklet they provided us had a section for us to do section 4 (aka the 2nd essay) in :( I labelled/wrote on it to inform my marker of my mistake so hopefully they realise.
