same as ext 2 in that it was the easiest test I've seen.
at least I actually kinda performed in this one though. Thinking about 65/84.

I had to ditch 6b due to time constraints though. I think I spent too long on 5.

6 and 7 were a bit tricky but the rest of the test was okay.

Binomial section killed me.

Thinking 54-60/84... Didn't seem that bad of a test.

1-4 was nice and easy.
5 and 6b screwed me over bigtime.
I could do the first half of 7, and didn't attempt the last question.

What band would that be?

same as me, taking into account the stupid mistakes i would have made, and the rape by q5 and 6... i'd say a 60% would be good... how much would you need to get a Band 4E?

Yeh, it was ok. Not the easiest, not the hardest.
The thing I found with this exam, as compared to all the past papers I've done, is that it took longer. I dunno why.
I didn't get to look at half of 7 as a result.
I just quickly did the induction, the derivation of the tan(A-B) in relation to the picture and then finding it's derivative. I didn't get to solve the derivative though :/

Question 6 was interesting. I found the projectile motion part OK, but it was a little vague. I hate it when they don't use numbers! The second part of six was a question I could see was right straight away but had a hard time explaining it.
Q1-5 were ok though. I think I aced the first two questions. The graph was a bit hard I thought. The only think I didn't get was the turning points :S

I am also hoping for a 65/84. I hope that's enough to get 80+
I hate exam pressure... Past papers are so easy in comparison...

Middle part of last question was a bit difficult, probably lose a couple of marks there. Save stupid mistakes, should get everything else right.

Hoping for 80+/84

First 4 Questions were quite straight forward
Q5. proving v^2 = n^2 (a^2 - x^2) involved limits and d(v^2/2)dx which made it difficult to prove.
also the last part of the rates question was hard
Q6 projectile motion was easy. use the given data to prove T = R/((U+V)costheta)
and V = (1/Y - 1)U involved simple substitution
Q6 was the most difficult (binomial section), (iii) could be done using Sn = .... and expanding the combinations into factorial form
Q7. first principles down to maximum value of theta were ok
(C) in Q 7 was very difficult, but showing that one angle < other angle could be done by showing that other angle - theta > 0 i.e. angle PRS > 0

i think i'll get around 74-75

Q1-3 were fairly easy, i think i managed to get everything out for those

Q4 was okay, some bits kinda fucked me around but i think i got most of it out

Q5 a), some bits of that were ok, the last two fucked me over

5b, 6 and 7 i didnt attempt
ran out of time, because after Q3 i started Q4 in the same book, and didnt realise until i finished Q4, so i had to copy all of it 2 a new book and cross it out of book 3! FML!
overall, i attempted about 56 marks worth of questions lol

but yeah. hopefully i got 40/84 lmao..
do u reckon itll be enough for band E3?
