Guys, is this right for the multiple choice questions.
1. B
2. A
3. D
4. A
5. B
6. D
7. B
8. C
9. B
10. -

If these are the right answers, then I got 6 to 7 right.

I had 4020 for similar reasons, think you miscounted. Obviously not d, since 4096 is the maximal value possible, and I had 76 from (4 ways to have them all in 1 room) + (6 ways to choose 1 outside, 4 rooms for the 5 left, 3 rooms for the other person). So 4096-76=4020
So I'm fairly sure q10 was (I have no idea which number it was because I binned my paper) 4020

parabola (x^2)/4 - (y^2)/4 < 1 =/<--- hyperbola
Wooooo. I was sceptical at first, coz it was sketch on an argand diagram. im like but this is a hyperbola. im a silly billy

Did anyone actually bother doing the last multiple choice question?
Nah. But I had D, probs wrong.

FML dem sillies :'( should still be in for a comfortable E4 though.

There is actually a name that i invented for the mechanics Q16 BEFORE the exam as a joke.
Mechanics + Conics=Mechonics

Was a nice test, barely any generic questions which is nice to see.

Unfortunately ran out of time...

Also LOL pretty much everyone's predictions were wrong...

Next year's HSC will be a full on integration marathon i predict.

also to people who are predicting a high e4 cutoff, remember that lots of people literally dont attempt questions simply because they look hard and are intimidated. With that being said, i think the E4 cutoff will be around 60-65 raw based on feedback from friends.

If MC 10. is C then it will be the first time I'm glad BOS has introduced multiple choice.

So it appears from this thread that Q10 multiple choice was the hardest Q in the paper haha. Im gonna be so mad if the answer is C, i bloody put C as a guess then changed it :/

What did everyone get for the Q15 probability? In decimal points?

well i talked to some people
most of them from top 5 selective schools reckon this year's was ridiculously easy with many losing 3-10 marks.
it seems likely 100 is needed for state rank this yr

Thought it was mostly fairly straightforward, but screwed up a bit - dropped 2 marks on 14 d (iv), and lost ~3 marks to sillies (calculator input wrong, and drew x^2 - y^2 = 4 because I missed the missed the <=). Certainly q16 was very easy this year - surely e4 cut off will be quite high?
I forgot the inequality too LOL! FKKKKK

I just worked q10 out

I'm pretty sure it's actually A

total number of ways = 4096 - 4 (number of ways all 6 people can in be one room) - 6 x 4 (number of ways 5 people can be chosen out of 6 to be in one room) x 3 (leftover person choosing the rest of the rooms) = 4020

Of course I have to figure this out AFTER the actual exam...
