awesome.

By any chance, did anyone get that "How many litres is the volume of liquid A greater than the volume of liquid B when the taps close?"
And how did you show the first part? I just subbed t=1?
If you rearrange the first part you find that the dV/dT of the first tap is dV/dT of the second tap, + t.
So the find the difference in the volumes by integrating them, which is t, so you need to integrate t for 0-4,
& The answer is 8L

$1514.48 is what I got.
that rings a bell for the repayments question. Not that it matters a great deal now, but you can always check this answer by putting it back into the original equation you had. if you subbed the value in the equation would have worked out to be 800000.

At the moment i think i'm looking at 105-110/120, taking into account the loss of some marks due to silly mistakes.

Caked it - misunderstood the question. Would I get any marks? I thought you sub in 4 for A and sub in B then find the difference which was 4 LOL.

In Question 8, I think it was part c), the one with the graph of f(x) and you had to sketch f'(x), did anyone else have when x --> infinity, did y --> 0 from below?

Cheerin, I went over a similar question with my tutor via skype at like 11pm last night, definitely paid off :D

Hypothetically, if the B6 cut off is 96/120, what would you need to get an aligned mark of 93, 94 or 95?

Locus:

You get the distance formula and square each of the to remove the root sign.

Then you clean the equation up and complete the square for x.

Then you'll be left with (x-1)^2 + y^2 = 16

Centre (1,0) radius = root 16 = 4

.

Sum question:

You solve the first part, then you realise that the pattern in the second question is exactly the same as the first part. You just replace it la then get 9 as your answer.
do you need a sum formula for q9?

I missed 10 b) iv) and v) because it was hard. TBH, I guessed part 3 but apparently it's right. r= P/4 ?

for 9 c) graphic, I think I'll lose 1 mark because I made the graph go above the x axis at the end....

9 b) ii) I failed. I don't know if I did i) right.

8 c) ii 2) was wtf.......... ??? did anyone get $1451 or something
That number seems familiar, maybe I got the same ^_^

Nope.

It is neither AP or GP, I tested it twice for both.
Same :|

I found it ok easier than expected but hated q 9 and found it weirder than normal since most of marks were 1 wth? If I get 108/120 and considering I come from malek Fahd Islamic school would I get 90 + ?

I fuked up the graph of 9 :(. I don't know why but i had the curve starting from below the axis and as x approached infinity i had y approaching 0 from above. I think 9 was just a bad question for me and i stopped thinking clearly. ahh well should at least pick up 1 or 2 marks for showing where it cuts the axis correctly and showing what happens as x approaches infinity (even though from above the axis).

Sigh. Just fckin hope my internal was 95.

I'll be spewin if I don't get 93 at the very least.
aw, im sure youll do well :)
i saw marks of people in 2010 hsc at my school, the raw marks they sent in to bos. so the girl who got 110/120 in trials/overall for my school assessments got 95 maths hsc mark.

Is your HSC mark your raw mark? it's all so confusing.
No, RAW mark is the mark you got in the exam. That is, how well you did in the exam/score you got in the exam out of 120. HSC mark is after all the aligning crap.

Hopefully. The guy who topped my school in 2unit maths last year (he is in my grade) got 99 hsc mark in the end, and a fair few got 94's and 95's. I was ranked 6th internally, and my grade did a lot better in general than the year above based on our internal marks.

Fingers crossed.

Screwed question 9 and didn't have time to look at the last part of 10 properly :/ 1-8 was pretty good so im hoping for around 95/120. will that get me a high band 5?
