Re: Howd you find it?

It was pretty good, Core was pretty good, Germany question b was easy and the Leni one was pretty easy too. I thought the Arab Israeli part a sucked ass. Also with the question on gas warfare in the core, i thought that the graph showed casualties from the gas for the entire war, and i want to know if everyone else picked up that the US didnt enter until 1918 and that the question asked what country had the least casualties from 1916-1917, (probably dont understand what i am going on about but anyway)

Re: Howd you find it?

easier than i thought actually....

1st section was good, knew a bit on the weapons etc
2nd section was easy for Germany...did a)
3rd section is always easy with Leni...didnt like the quote though 'History is about winners'.
4th section on Arab-Israeli was alot better than i thought....thought i was going to get smashed...did a) again and it was riducoulsly range wide in the fact that it was peace from the start to the finish.

Re: Howd you find it?

I noticed that about the gas casualties too.

I found that the modern continued what i have found to be really (comparatively) easy tests this year after english and maths.

I did Germany(a) and Indochina(a). Both were pretty easy and relatively straightforward. Hardest was Speer for part (b) of personalities but i think i coped well.

Re: Howd you find it?

Core was a bit hard
Leni was okay for a) but for b) I had to bullshit a lot.
Germany was very easy
Conflict In Europe :S Not even one page and said that D-Day was an aerial battle.

Re: Howd you find it?

What did you guys put for the answer with the most casualities then?

I thought the paper was overall pretty good. I thought the 'History is about winners' quote was easy, but kinda dumbed down compared to other years.

The UN questions were what I expected, but i also expected a case study question to be in there...

Re: Howd you find it?

All up, it was easier than I expected.

Core was shit easy
Germany was shit easy
Speer was okay, "History Is For Winners" was interesting for him.
Indochina let me down a little, was really hoping for a tactics question, so I did option (b) and put a fair bit of tactics stuff in there (People's War, Strategic Hamlets etc.)

Re: Howd you find it?

Loved it! Core was nice and easy. I then did China - and the question was regarding the WHOLE period, 1927 - 1949. OMG <3

I then did Sun Yat-Sen, question fit him well, as he wasn't a 'winner', so I objected to the quote.

Then I did Indochina, which again was the whole period, 54 - 79.

Wow, I loved that.

26 pages later, and early onset RSI - I'm a happy man. Heh

IT WAS ALSO MY LAST EXAM!!!!!!!!!!!!! =D

P.s Excuse my excitement.

Re: Howd you find it?

the US declared war on the 6th april 1917, in 1918 they sent another million troops but there were americans on the western front in 1917, just not many.

most sections were pretty good. the personality was heaps easy. all the questions were pretty broad compared to the past years where theyve been pretty specific

Re: Howd you find it?

core= excellent
personality= as above

USA= crash and burn baby. both really hard. my teacher said after looking at the much easier germnay questions that hopefully if I gun the core I'll get scaled a bit.

War in Pacific = terrible. like with the UN question, how can they expect us to properly discuss the tactics of BOTH sides from before, during, and after the war in 45 minutes? I had like two sentences for the occupation lol, and my structure was a mess. but otherwise good?

I don;t do Albert Speer.

I'm pretty sure he didn't get a winner ora After the Nuremberg trials.
