How did everyone go with the Improving Performance 4 marker about isotonic and isokinetc. It was easy but hard to squeeze out 4 marks.

I just defined what each was, said how their different and gave examples. What everyone else do?

Isotonic: free weights, cheap, accessable, simple, no full development of fibres, no uniformity in resistance

Isokinetic: machines, uses large muscle goups, gives full development cos of uniform resistance, expensive, not accessable.

I thought the paper was really good!
Nothing overly hard or tricky.
But I'm pretty sure some of the multiple choices
were from past papers but with different question
;)

multiple choice, core 1 and core 2 all really easy. Sports medicine raped me preety hard though
sports med was easy if you knew the syllabus, thats all about just reading over the syllabus.
PDHPE is easy as most of the points are dot points,
as opposed to business and legal, the syllabus is no where near enough!
I found multiple choice good, going by the other forum of the answers, ive only dropped one, the cores were a gift.
So easy!
and improving performance, the 4 marker i screwed, i wrote them back the front, but oh well.
Also have to remember, this is all scaled!!
all the best!!

THe multiple choice were actually WAAAY easier than i expected. I think my major issues will be in the core 1 and 2 written responses. the question on Aboriginal's health status threw me a little bit.

Overall, a simple and straightforward test.

Feedback is:
K - Knowledge of results
I - Intrinsic
C - Concurrent
K - Knowledge of performance
E - Extrinsic
D - Delayed
P - Positive
N - Negative

I think ur thinking of motivation

I agree if u knew ur syllabus that exam was a gift
Ummm NO, you are also wrong- the syllabus doesnt mention "positive or negative" nor does it mention "intrinsic or extrinsic" feedback- they are all also criteria of motivation rather than feedback. These 2 quotes are straight from http://www.boardofstudies.nsw.edu.au/syllabus_hsc/pdf_doc/pdhpe_syl.pdf

"feedback (internal, external, concurrent,
delayed, knowledge of results,
knowledge of performance)"

"motivation

− positive and negative
− intrinsic and extrinsic
− social, material and internal reinforcement"

HAHA good work on correcting someone else!

Intrinsic and extrinsic are types of feedback still they can be the answer to multiple choice questions, they have in the past

you are an idiot. intrinsic/extrinsic is exactly the same as internal/external.
and yes there is such thing as positive and negative feedback.
ie that was a great performance (positive feedback)
or your going to fail pdhpe (negative feedback)
positive feedback is essential in the early stages as it maintains motivation and interest.
hope you feel good failing at life

I hope for the sake of the HSC markers that she is trolling. There is positive and negative feedback and there is also positive and negative motivation.

Good luck next year, bro.

there is positive and negative feedback, but they are not dot points
you should not have mentioned them

if you didnt mention positive or negative feedback i think you will be lucky to get over 10/15. Positive and Negative feedback is essential through progression of the stages of skill acquisition

Positive feedback is fundamental to an athletes progression.
