I do believe I've seen a few of your friends (I thought you'd be taking pictures of buildings and crap) in bio...how weird.

More importantly, why is there a door on the top of the library building that leads nowhere?

More importantly, there needs to be a special fast lane along busy walkways (*cough*library). I've no time for dawdlers and short people with short legs who can't walk fast. None at all.

I have no time for people. There needs to be a tunnel where I can walk at my own speed, free of people.

Seriously, after two years in that place I am ace at nimbly weaving my way through crowds and have a particular talent for avoiding leaflet handing-outy people.

I usually avoid the main library walkway if I can by going via Law/Scientia route. It's much better looking and is much less crowded. Plus that lone tree on the scientia lawn looks quite groovy.

Anyway...the door. You can see it in this photo

what's the deal?
They use it to punish law students who fail to live up to the high standards of the UNSW law faculty

*cough*
Remember back in the days when a computer was the size of a van?

Those doors were used to transport computers into the upper levels of the library

Those are the Suicide Doors. True story
is this true? anyone?
Rumor has it that they were used for one of three options:

1. suicide doors
2. alien landing pads
3. to get computers into the upper floors when computers were the size of houses

It may or may not be that only one of these three is the real answer...

there's plenty of high buildings you could jump off of at uni... why bother going all the way up there. it's not like you wont die if you jump off the top of the civil engineering building (i went up to the top today and it really is very high up there) which is 8 floors

Yes, but surely jumping out of level 14 of the library building will create more of a mess...and be more exiting too! You could even take some law students with you.
