Another email from the uni said:
Dear student

BABS1201 and BIOS1101 are taught without any assumption of prior knowledge of biology. However, a number of you have taken HSC Biology, or an equivalent examination in another system.

If you are in this category you may wish to consider seeking an exemption from BIOS1101 in Session 2.

Exemption may be granted if you achieved 75% or better in your HSC Biology (or equivalent) and you obtain at least a credit in BABS1201.
Hmm, to apply for exemption or not to apply.

Yeah do it.

You can then do a reduced work-load next semester, or get ahead :)
But then I'd have to pick another elective subject offered in second semester...which sort of puts me in the same position as whoever it was (here on bos) who had electives to pick and no idea what to choose. all the subjects that sound remotely interesting to me are in semester 1.

plus, after the impending disaster that is chemistry, I could probably do with a wam boost

on the other hand...I did get 94 for hsc bio...and everyone says bios1101 is crap...

*sigh* I'll probably still end up taking it anyway. :(

thats just a standard comm/eco timetable imo
pretty much, except I'm only doing 3 subjects (4th is an online gen ed, hells yeah!)

This semester I have 2 days a week, that's pretty win too.

leslie: oh nice, I heard 3114 is super easy is that why you picked it as well?

@jason: haha i heard it was easy but i thought it would be good to complement my other subjects from finance. namely for financial planning.

but hey if we dont change out tutorial, we will be in the same class haha

haha hope it wont be epic fail like managerial again
