Here is an idea i have.

Instead of making a roof out of tiles or metal, why not make your roof out of hail proof mirrors ( or something very shinny). This will make your house allot cooler and warmer in the winter.

In summer 99% of light will be reflected back into space off you mirror thus not contributing to global warming but more importantly keeping ur house cool!

Tiles are stupid they are dull and absorb most of the light that shines on them. Our solution Insulation - putting stuff inside the roof to prevent heat entering our house, most of the time this doesn't work as the light will travel through the frame ect. Insulation is also a fire hazard, and thats really useful in Australia right...

You can use mirrors to prevent heat being generated in the first place!

off course you couldn't do this to walls and windows as it will piss of the neighbors.

Is this legal though? But i seriously prefer mirriors to insulation any day.

Protip: What happens in winter during the night?

Oh I know! We'll put all the heaters on max! That'll certainly be better than insulation.
