Haha, yeah but then the question would have said: "What is the capital territory of Australia?" and that might have been just a wee bit of a giveaway :)

Well the Family Law Act was meant to remove the concept of the 'fault' divorce so people could get a divorce without having to prove their partner guilty of doing something wrong... right??

What are some responses by individuals, groups or governments to a geogaphical issue of your choice?

I have 3 questions
1. Name some achievements of women in post WWII
2. Name some experiences of women's liberationists post WWII
3. Name some points about ONE of the following:
- equal pay
- women in parliament
-women's suffrage

Oooh!
History thread!
*vomit*

Policy;

Multiculturalism gained momentum under whitlam govt (72-75), encouraged people with different cultural background to maintain and celebrate their cultural heritage while participating in australian life.
Abolished white australia policy in 72, introducted racial discrimination act in 75. this diversified culture through new foods, music, festivals etc. also made us embrace change, have new and improved attitudes towards tolerance and acceptance, though there was some retaliation eg pauline hanson. promoted equality.
this brought us closer to s.e. asia when accepted indochinese refugees, improved our global image, diversified our culture and removed barriers.
blah.

now.. GEOGRAPHYYY!
discuss strategies (by govt/ngo's etc) to promote reconcilliation.

2. I have no idea what you mean by this question.

3. Dón't know too much about any of them, sorry.

Deer: Sorry Day, reconcilliation day, recognition of people who own the land at formal meetings, teaching of Aboriginal culture in schools.
