Hey does anyone know of historians who have differing persectives and views on Otto Von Bismarck?
I plan to ask the question "Did Count Otto Von Bismarck have a master-plan for the unification of Germany or did he simply wish to extend the power of Prussia?" and I can't find any books in print online with the perspectives and I don't wish to go thrugh every book i nthe libraries of NSW, USYD (Fisher) and UNSW.
And if anyone else has done German Unification couild they please give me their sources so I can start my book hunt then get more. Thanks.

I know it requires real research, the point of the matter is that I can't seem to find 2 differing views. There's almost nothing on London Protocol (1852), the Second Schleswig War, the November Consitiution, Seven Week War and the Franco Prussian War, the Frankfurt Treaty with directly involves Bismarck in detail.
Most of the stuff is from 1871.
Why else would I be asking for help with a literature search?

There's no referancing on the Wikipedia page so thats a dead end. - and it's one of the first port of calls, been there before.
I already have done a NSW USYD and UNSW library search so i know its rather thin.

The only way would probably either be to extend your search on the Internet, taking note of historians (I think the search before yielded names like the structuralist historian, AJP Taylor.

A search comes up with: Lynn Abrams, Katharine Lerman, William Simpson, Edward Crankshaw, Nicholas Der Bagdasarian, Erich Eyck, Charles Lowe etc etc

OR

Go to USyd's, UNSW's and MacQ's History Department Pages and search up Professors who do European history. Message them and see if you can get guidance, further information or even their own perspectives.
