school rank is ~500

i'm ranked 10/30 in english and 1st in everything else

these are the raw marks i've been getting in past hsc papers

english adv: will probably get ~60-70% raw in hsc
maths 3u: 83-84
maths 4u: 100-110
physics: 90-95
chem: 90-95

You can't really judge you by raw marks of your "past HSC" papers since you don't exactly know the marking schemes (except for Maths).

ATAR estimate of what you "supposed have": 98.5+

To be honest, I highly doubt you will get that high raw marks in HSC. Also, "Engrish Std | Gen Maffs | Food Tech | Dance | Drama | ATAR Aim: 75+". What the fuck is that?

I reakon 98+, but if I had to be specific I'd say low 99's. You control your own ATAR at this point, but I think english could prevent you from getting mid-high 99's (those past HSC marks in MX1, MX2, chemistry and physics will give you mid-high range band 6's in those subs, english on the other hand mid band 5). You could also be in line for 3 unit state ranking.

idk i'm getting 14-15/15 in MC and most of my answers are pretty much exactly the same as the success one answers but more concise (srsly it's physically impossible to fit some of their answers into the allocated space even when typed)

hey i wasnt havin a go at u. mecramarathon's raw marks say he came 25th in the state with a raw mark of 86/100. thats why i assumed 95 would be around 1st in state.
but ur one of the smartest ppl ive seen on bos so u culd do it.

Essentially all up to how you do in the externals, but I pretty much expect a 98+ from you, English will hinder you somewhat. (Potentially keeping it in the 98s opposed to the 99s)

Anyway, what if you got about the same marks as him, but in English got say 1st or 2nd? What would you be looking at?

you realise board of studies have the marking schemes for all hsc past papers on their site for public viewing.....

Not at all. In my HSC, I got 97 raw for Chem, and I just missed out on a state rank. I believe that first in the state in Phys in 2009 was 97 raw.

Anyway OE, if you pull out those raw marks for sciences, english and maths, you'd be looking at, i would say, 98.5 -99.5. It's all about english, if you spent lots of time on it, you could perhaps ace the externals and bring your overall hsc mark a fair bit.
