i'm bored and curious. For the people that don't live at college, how often do you go out? How often do you go to unibar and do you still hang around with your school friends or more new friends from uni. The reason i ask is because i am at college and you have ready made friends and social lives when you live there!

hi soapy! *waves*

uhhmmm, i go out whenever and wherever, except im not keen on going out at night cos i cant drive, and i feel bad about making people drive me.

i've made a few friends at uni, and i miss my old school friends cos we've scattered to the four winds, to different unis, or even different courses at UNSW *sob* but i see both equally.

at uni, we just hang around drinking coffee a lot for some reason... whats with uni students and coffee ^o)

I don't think I've ever hung around at uni. On the odd chance that I have spare time (dammit) I usually just happen to find someone that I know and spend it with them. It is a pain that most of my friends are at other uni's, but we try and see each other often enough.

Yes, uni's made me drink coffee too, lol.

Soph, I'm not sure exactly what you've said. Are you saying that being at a college makes it easy to make friends cos everyone is always around, cos that's what I thought too. Or are you saying that being at a college separates you from your high school friends?

I'm saying college makes it easier to make friends because there are people around 24/7. Personally it doesn't change me seeing my high school friends much because most of them are 600km away but i suppose it would if they were in sydney

Well the last like 6 weeks of uni of semester 1 I had been going out once a week with uni friends to like clubs and bars and the good ol' Regent. It's a good change cause while I can't replace my high school friends, they were never really the ones to go out late and drink.
Living in Chatswood, whenever I go out I always just go and crash at a friend's who lives in the Barker Apartments and then the next day I can wake up later if it's a uni day or not wake up at all if it's the weekend ;)

mmm I go out a bit too, but I very rarely see my high school friends anymore, alot of them have changed alot and aren't quite the people they used to be.

I play volleyball for UNSW (so we just got back from the uni games! yay!), so theres a bunch of people I spend time with training and socialising, and I'm with USyd St John Amubulance so I go out a bit too doing first aid duties there.

And a good'ol small bunch of close uni friends I spend some time with.

Hmm.. Lets see, usually about twice a week i go out, but that can increase to 3 times depending if i have any $$$ - most of the time no, so no happy hour for me.

I rarely see high school friends now, even go out with them, some i havent seen since the HSC trials - hahaha.
