well, was it better than going with friends? I think it really depends on the genre.
well im going to keep comedy movies for when i go with my friends (for example the dictator). but action movies i will probably watch alone.

bro sounds like you have some serious issues.
i would recommend a shrink.
Possibly. Truth is I'm secure enough about my friends and myself not to care for the petty social conventions that drive your life. If you want to socialise go to a party or talk to someone in person- sitting silently next to someone in a movie to connect seems kind of ironic to me.

Going on your own is awesome - genre specific though, as has been said.

People who criticize you for going on you own have issues with their independence. Confidence/social dependence/identity problems are also possible.

well one of the reasons i made this thread was because a couple of times when i have managed to persuade my friends to come with me to a movie i have had to pay for part of their ticket. and then the actual persuading part was so annoying, like for example i wanted to see 21 jump street but my friend said he wanted to watch this means war. wtf thats a chicks movie, im not paying to see that.
i really just got sick of going through all that.

Nothing wrong with going to the movies alone, I go by myself all the time just because I can't be screwed to organise with other people.

Nothing wrong with it! It's not like your attention is on them for majority of the time anyway

Start a movie blog and convince yourself and others around you that you are going to the Cinema by yourself to write reviews for your readers!

It's from the... "Eastern Suburbs Leader" or something like that.

I picked it up at the maccas near UNSW yesterday. There was a big pile of them so I took one.

I mean, the spelling mistakes just ooze a sense of 'community newspaper'...

depends on the movie

if its a comey or mindless action flick or something then yeah, thats pretty sad

but if its actualyl a serious movie that you might really enjoy then fuck your friends they'll probably fuck things up and be annoying cunts
agreed

like when I went to watch The Avengers it was really fun witrh friends.

But I cannot imagine watching movies such as No Country For Old Men, There Will Be Blood etc. with friends.
