No, it's not true. You cannot be stopped from going to the toilet, however, every visit is written down. Too many trips and you may come to the attention of the examiners.

You can get a doc cert. I was worried I'd need to do to so I didn't drink at all before exam and made sure I went just before.

As far as I know there are not effective restrictions on going to the toilet, although they will indeed get suspicious if you keep going too many times in the one exam. On top of that, going too many times keeps you away from the exam itself, and that's not good.

Just make sure you go straight before and try to hold on if you can.

If your first place and you haven't studied, you may as well just go and get a doctors certificate, its a bit of a loophole.

I'm pretty sure it's a similar system to uni exams: You ask supervisors for permission to go to the toilet, sign your name on some sheet, go to toilet and be escorted by the supervisors back into the exam.

Relax, supervisors should be flexible, unless you're trying to cheat >.>;

Another thing, uni exams have this thing where you can't use the toilet in the first hour or the last ten minutes. Dunno whether this applies to HSC exams tho.
