I think you should have a listen to Arcade Fire, Flaming Lips and Regina Spektor

The Essex Green is pretty awesome indie-pop, and really happy if you say that's what you want.

i am so in love with junita. her voice. and she's so fucking HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

their album is so good, and they were good as waikiki as well.

crowd didn't recieve them as well as i thought they would at killers. but to be fair they didn't sound as good live as they did at splendour and as good as their songs sound in studio version.

Indie is hard to choose for certain people because it's... Indie.
I second everything, particularly Mew and Radiohead (the best band in the UNIVERSE!)

Try Broken Social Scene - brilliant band. Particularly the album You Forgot It in People. Try Feel Good Lost as well if you're into post-rock as well.

My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive, even though they're shoegaze, many could classify them under the umbrella of alternative. And they're AWESOME!
