Does anybody know of people who got high ATARS with minimal study e.g 96+ ATAR and only studied like 2 weeks before HSC?

nup, people that say that mean they studied extra more in the 2 weeks before but they still had to study throughout the year

People tend to say a lot of things that aren't true, especially when it comes to school students lying about studying to appear better. The only way to get a good ATAR is hard work- and this apply to everything in life as well. In my opinion, this is one of the few good things about the HSC- it teaches you the value and importance of hard work which translates into working life. A refusal to study hard for your ATAR may deteriorate your work ethic in the future and possibly impact your future career possibilities. I know it seems a bit of a stretch but trust me, hard work is the most important thing in life in general- people say there's also a degree of 'natural talent'. Whilst this may be true, hard work can cover for most of the disadvantages that not having a natural talent may come with. Just study hard man.

Even if someone had the intelligence to study 2 weeks prior and do that, it's not possible because of how the HSC is structured. If you haven't studied properly prior to HSC then that means your internal marks will probably be low and so it will be impossible to even get close to that ATAR. Seeing your in HSC currently, assuming your internal marks are decent and you have an average memory, you will find you probably forgot a lot of the content you need to memorise for subjects if you do that and as a result you will be rusty and making lots of silly mistakes. No way to completely rectify that within 2 weeks and will for sure lead to bad marks. HSC is all about consistent study, no one who gets a high ATAR, gets it by doing things last minute. Whenever we do things last minute such as studying for an exam or doing an assignment, we feel more stressed leading to silly mistakes and probably not aiming for a high mark but just to pass or get an average mark and complete the task.

anyone who says they "didnt study" or studied a day or two before the exam and ends up getting 95+ is lying lol
ive seen high achievers at my school full on memorising the textbook at the library all the time and then lying about not studying to boost their ego 🤣

*I am Dr. Bakare Tunde, the cousin of Nigerian Astronaut, Air Force Major Abacha Tunde. He was the first African in space when he made a secret flight to the Salyut 6 space station in 1979. He was on a later Soviet spaceflight, Soyuz T-16Z to the secret Soviet military space station Salyut 8T in 1989. He was stranded there in 1990 when the Soviet Union was dissolved. His other Soviet crew members returned to earth on the Soyuz T-16Z, but his place was taken up by return cargo. There have been occasional Progrez supply flights to keep him going since that time. He is in good humor, but wants to come home. In the 14-years since he has been on the station, he has accumulated flight pay and interest amounting to almost $ 15,000,000 American Dollars. This is held in a trust at the Lagos National Savings and Trust Association. If we can obtain access to this money, we can place a down payment with the Russian Space Authorities for a Soyuz return flight to bring him back to Earth. I am told this will cost $ 3,000,000 American Dollars. In order to access the his trust fund we need your assistance.

Consequently, my colleagues and I are willing to transfer the total amount to your account or subsequent disbursement, since we as civil servants are prohibited by the Code of Conduct Bureau (Civil Service Laws) from opening and/ or operating foreign accounts in our names.

Needless to say, the trust reposed on you at this juncture is enormous. In return, we have agreed to offer you 20 percent of the transferred sum, while 10 percent shall be set aside for incidental expenses (internal and external) between the parties in the course of the transaction. You will be mandated to remit the balance 70 percent to other accounts in due course.*
