Hey,

I'm doing 2 Unit maths at school and for the past two exam papers, I haven't been doing too well in them. What are some good ways you guys use to study or revise for maths?

Thanks.

Haha I used to have similar thread with yours and the most comments i get is study hard, keep practicing questions ( get another textbook for more questions), learn your formulas by rewriting ten times.

When learning formulas, understand why it works rather than memorizing it as a formula. If you don't understand how to do a question or exercise always ask your teacher for help during the lesson or after the lesson. Even asking your friend or a top student in class might help.
Good Luck studying maths ^_^l3

Formula study - Repetitive memorisation is good to learn the structure of the formula, but if you want to succeed, try finding or even making your own proofs to the formula's, and as said above, understanding why it works like that.

Additionally - Do lots of homework questions, try to find a maths textbook if needed, to increase your exposure to different types of problems. Additionally, it might be worthwhile to checkout forums like Math's Help or Art of Problem solving (or even BOS), as they not only contain some difficult problems, but also, you might stumble upon questions which you can answer yourself.

Try to understand everything during class. Study from past papers. Design your own past papers by doing a deconstruction of what has been tested in past exams. You will need to get a hold of your school's past papers. :D
