So I did my HSC in 2011 and I got 54 ATAR. I have 5 bonus points for regional scheme and another 5 for EAS. Which should bring me up to 64 ATAR. The course I wanted to do, the cut-off for 2014 was 60 ATAR?

Why didn't I get in?

I didn't put a student number for the "secondary qualifications", because I don't know it. Could it be that because I didn't put a student number, they didn't know my ATAR?

EDIT: I am trying to enrol at UWS
http://www.uws.edu.au/informationabout/bonuspoints/earlyoffer
Above link states that they can give up to 10 bonus ATAR maximum

Idk, how long an ATAR valid? lol
They never 'expire' - however it is up to the university whether to accept someone whose got their ATAR the other year. So even if the ATAR is high enough, if he got it a few years ago they might not accept him.

EDIT:
exact words of uac (I emailed them a couple months back to ask about ATAR expiry): "Your ATAR result does not have an expiry date. When applying for study it is the decision of the institution/s whether they take your ATAR qualification into consideration for eligibility into their course."

Do you actually get bonus points if you're not straight out of high school?

Yea I think eas and regional are only for school leavers so atar would be under 60 still

"If you are a non-current school leaver (not completing the 2013 Australian Year 12 or IB at the time of applying for university) and live in the Greater Western Sydney region, you will automatically receive five Bonus Points when you apply through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) to study at UWS" - http://www.uws.edu.au/informationabout/bonuspoints/regionalbonus

And EAS definitely works for non school leavers too, read this: http://future.uws.edu.au/future_students_home/applynow/ncsl_ug

EAS is number 6 on list for things to do for non current school leaver
