Grades Distort our Perception of reality

School trains us to have the mindset that a given amount of effort will always bring a measurable, predictable, and successful result. The real world doesn’t work like that.
University/Working People,

I saw this quote from an article my friend sent me, how true is this in the real world?

The real world isn't black and white. Success is based on your own value system and the way to achieve results varies wildly depending on many factors that are not static.

Saying that "the real world doesn't work like that" is an overgeneralization. You just need to learn to play your game, school is just one of many.
