lol.

anyways, also lol @ at internet filtering. also LOL at democracy.
>.> So you're saying people should be able to choose whether or not they would like to watch child porn or not? It's these same people that become pedophiles. Now i'm all for the free will bs arguement, but when the individual starts to affect the lives of others then that's breaking the law itself. How about we start arming criminals with guns in gaol now...

Ok think about it, most people don't understand the filter shit and how much it will bring the speeds down. Currently most users get 5-10+ mb/s right. Now the government is putting fiber-optic cables directly to our homes, this would mean that we are getting internet speeds of 100 mb/s. Now people are complaining about how it will bring down the speeds but the speeds are only reduced by maybe 5-10 mb/s so we would still be getting 90 mb/s speeds which is much better then currently having speeds of 5-10 mb/s.

Most people are worried that having the filters will affect them downloading illegal music, videos etc... and that is the only reason that they are complaining.

What? WHAT? To prosecute people who watch child pornography films because they might someday commit a crime is a denial of man’s free will, and a total insult, to those who will not commit crimes after watching child porn. Its like locking up all teenage Arab males from Bankstown because they have a greater tendency to commit crime than the rest of the population. Its just laughable.

The crime is not watching child pornography but producing it.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to watch child porn in practically every nation. It is understood that morally, the sexual exploitation of children is not only legally wrong, It is morally wrong because it a perverse form of child abuse.

But you only get speeds of 100 mb/s if you're willing to fork over serious cash. Those speeds are aimed at large businesses and live hospital operations, not home consumers

That's a strange argument.

I am negatively affected by other individuals hundreds of times every single day but they don't go to jail. The world doesn't work like that.

It's law, follow it or stfu.
Sometimes it seems that the beau ideal of many conservatives, as well as of many liberals, is to put everyone into a cage and coerce him into doing what the conservatives or liberals believe to be the moral thing. They would of course be differently styled cages, but they would be cages just the same. As for you, well, your still a kid, therefore ill give you the benefit of doubt for such ignorance.

When you say negatively affected you aren't being raped by a pedophile. At least that's what i presume.

You have no point here. You're blaming politicians for not allowing pedophiles to obtain child pornography. Think about what you're saying.

Internet speeds will actually increase. Rudd's internet speed filtering reductions will be offset by his broadband networking project. A slight increase in speeds is to be likely as a result of this $4.7 billion broadband network project for 98% of Australians. Surely no one here supports pedophilia anyway.
oh, jesus fucking christ. the scary thing is that you actually believe it.
