sooo, half yearlies are coming up for most of us.

mine are in week 10 + 11, but apparently some schools have them in week 5 + 6. early.
for now, i'm not ready for any of them. 6 weeks to pull it together.

anybody have assessments relatively close to half yearlies as well? :(

and how much are they weighted?

advanced - 15
eng ext - 0
2 unit - 25
math ext - 25
biology - 10
chemistry - 20

i'm also doing ext french with open high... half yearlies are worth 40, yes, 40%. friggin insane.

I have an exam block in week 10, but it's only for 3 of my subjects. I have assessments for my other subjects, the first one being English next week.

Exams start in Week 7 for us. Getting our timetable soon, and we've got notifications for individual subjects. I'm still typing up notes, and I'm finding it hard to balance my revision time at the moment :(

Yea, I got quite a lot of assessments close to the 1/2 yearlies as well :(

English: Viewing/Listening DVD task. 20%.... OMG.... (Week 6)
English Half Yearly: AOS Section 1 + Section 3 Tempest. 10% (Week 9/10)

Maths: Half Yearly 30% ... (time to pull up first shitty assessment mark) (Week 9/10)

Geography: People and Economic Activity assessment. 20% (Week 6)
- > Half Yearly - 30%?

Economics: Australia's place in the global economy. 20% (Week 6)
- > Half Yearly >20% (Week9/10)

Chemistry: Half Yearly 25%? (Week 9/10)

Sigh, hope I do good in those and improve ranks/marks in all subjects. :(

Nah we can't do Mendel because we do him in depth in class, I'm doing watson & crick, me and a mate did the entire thing in an hour - it was pretty easy and we'll get 100% no worries... the marking criteria makes it easy to get full marks.

"A diptych is a 2-leaved hinged tablet folding together to protect writing on waxed surfaces; a pictures or series of pictures (as an altarpiece) painted of carved on two hinged tablets; a work made up of two matching parts."

It's fucking retarded, it isn't visual arts. I kicked up a huge stink but my schools English department are idiots, and they wonder why they get bad results year after year...

I'm so glad we don't have a half-yearly English exam (instead we have a speech on BNW/BR during exam week (15%))!
Other than that,
Maths Ext 1: 25%
Maths Ext 2: 25%
Japanese: 30%
Latin Cont: 25%
Latin Ext: 25%
Chemistry: Theory 20% + Prac 20%

Not too bad... I'm more worried about our 15% assessment on Yeats on Friday... :(
