Hello fellow 08'ers (im an 08er for maths, so i feel involved slightly), had 2 unit maths exa today (accelerated), it was alright, some tricky questions though...

Maths - Okay for some
IT - Got most I think
Chem - Failure

PD tomorrow and that's it. I'm done.

our second english exam is practically the same as our first assessment task, but they changed it to an opinion article format. so yeah, i guess you can...]

i have my second english paper and business studies tomorrow. spent so much time on english i haven't glanced at my business book yet. there's an hour break between it, so i'm taking my book to learn the ratios/study in general.

I thought it seemed weird when they said it; because it'd mean you only get examined on recent stuff you've done and things.

as in physically gave you a copy of the exam?

yuh. we had to do a speech instead of a section three, then they gave us section one and two 6 weeks before the exam. telling us to study.

no one really did. found out i was the only one of my mates that did. but yer they gave us the exam. physcially put it in our hands with on the front saying "this is your exam. study"

we got given ours too.
except it wasn't the whole exam, just one question - the essay.
which i, of course, didn't start until last night.
oops.
but i think i did alright.

question - does everyone else have two english exams? because we only have one.

Same as us - we got given question 3 almost two weeks before the English exam (which gave me time to prepare an awesome essay), and we had only one english paper as well, which was all on Area of Study - Journey. We're not being assessed on the modules in our half yearly.

For the essay, I reckon I might have pulled off a 14 or 15/15 since I had practised it soooo many times.. I memorised it word for word LOL.. ended up writing 4.5 pages for it.

Yeah - we only had one exam for our Half Yearly too.

I think that's just how they do it.

you know i only figured out where the hell the modules fitted in yesterday after reading another bos post.
i was so confused because my stupid teacher didn't explain it to me at all!

i wrote five pages in those exam books, but i ended up with writing about 2cm big haha.
i always end up doing that in exams.

For english we just did paper 1. We got given section 2 (creative writing) before hand. I think I wrote about 12 A4 pages all up. 3,4,5 for each section in chronological order.

Had biology today, can anyone spell epic fail?

It was really hard + fact i hate biology led to me not doing well.

Doing PDHPE assignment today, and finishing of business notes.

I started mine on Monday. So far i have done:

• English (Standard)
• Hospitality
• Catholic Studies

Now all i have left is:

• General Mathematics
• Business Studies
• Design & Technology: Multimedia
• Hospitality Practical

first day of exams today. we had english it was gud.just a comprehension and short story. got SOR tomorrow, which is easy.

Did legal today...
Put a heap of effort into revising bits that weren't even in the test(!!)
..and there was some really retarded weighting of marks/topics - one topic I'd neglected to study (we'd only started it, though the questions were reflected as such) was worth 1/3 of the marks!!

yuh we had one exam but instead of the other exam we had to do a 3-6 min speech. was easy. =]

i did mi maths half yearlies today for 2u ..and i freaked out
i didn't get alot of questions and and the exam was weighted 30% T_T i did really well last time..so i was kind of under pressure to do well again this time *sigh*.. if i did really bad in this exam..wud it have ani affect on mi hsc ??? =S

All i can say is im so glad english and ext english were over four weeks ago otherwise I would be dieing!!!

My exams are over.
I won't do well because I don't study.
Maybe in IT there is an exception.
Everyone else is sitting their last now.

Anyone know roughly when trials will be?
