We did the Archaelogical evidence topic too. I hated that topic! It was so boring... not a lot of interesting content.

yeah it was.. its not like we are gonna use carbon 14 dating or thermoluminescence any time soon LOL but i guess we are not even gonna use history in our life time anyways

Haha with marks like those you shouldn't have to care about RE.
Awesome Maths marks!

I wouldn't encourage you putting off SOR completely. Just in case you stuff up in any of your other subjects, if you do good in a really easy subject like SOR it might benefit you.

Don't know where you got that from, but Standard is known to scale lower.

half yearlies were terrible if they were any indication of what my hsc marks are gonna be

Religion - 97%
3 unit English - 86%
Legal - 83%
Japanese - 73%
Maths 2u - 60%
English ad - 57%

Is anyone else DYING in 2unit english and find it harder than 3 and 4 unit?

Everyone seems to think that 2u Adv is harder than Ext 1. However when I was doing Ext English we had a way harder topic than Adv, and it was sooo boring as well - which made me drop it (The Nature of Evil btw).

As for your results, Religion, Ext English and Legal are all pretty good, but I'd work harder towards to improve your Maths and English (Adv) marks - especially english.

My H/Y marks are really horrible (for me)

English Advanced - 75% - Rank 75/198 Band 5
English Extension - 74% - Rank 64/197 - Band E4
Mathematics Accelerated - 108/150 - Rank 20/210 - Band 6
Biology - 89% - Rank 4/36 - Band 5
Chemistry - 89% - Rank 22/114 - Band 5
Physics - 88% - Rank 17/121 - Band 5

Estimated UAI 98.3 (99.5 Without English Adv) Overall Rank 21st.

With the Exception of English Adv, I was on the borderline of getting Band 6's in all subjects.

But enough venting and complaining, it seems that I have a lot of competition ahead of me for the next 1 1/2 years, in both my school and many people on this forum. :p

Those are pretty good ranks, you know Eric? I suppose Advanced was pretty bad for you - I didn't expect to beat you in Chemistry, Advanced and Extension Englishes. =\
As long as you get Academic, it's all pretty good, eh?

it's cool that u guys get a uai estimate.. :( i want one too
You can make your own estimation.

Look at how many Band 6s you get at school for each subect & the marks. Compare them with your ranks and etc. It's not hard to make one. I can make an estimation that I can get Band 6 in all my subjects (not quite in SOR I and English but...)

They're acceptable for H/Y Ranks :D but considering I came 5th last year, I'm still a little dissapointed.

Very stupid Careless Mistakes and (very) poor setting out/handwriting lowered my marks greatly in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. I knew I bombed the English Exams, because I didn't study and didn't actually answer the questions given.

But honestly, congratulations for coming 4th in the year (and a UAI of I don't know, 99.99);)

Um. That's like my friend who came 5th last year. He basically came top 10% in every subject he did. Now, he is like 15th in the year.

Oh yeah, fucking Deeming and Damianos marking the Chem pracs. So damn anal. At least they were fair across the grade, though. :p
