I'm a lefty but my handwriting is horrible.... I get blisters in my rude finger every time I write.. Any suggestions to improve the readibility ?

And I like the writing on Examine's eco notes. =] I want to write like that now....

My hand writing is amazing, neat and tidy... until about 45 min into writing and my writing is barely legible

ohhh!!! and i always smudge my page, because I have a weird grip and I'm a lefty....
(I don't even use smudgy pens.... but everyday after school I look at my pinky and there's always ink on it... sometimes multiple colours)

Examine

By today's standards, your handwriting would be considered very good. It is very neat. But, like it is being done by most youngsters nowadays, the letters are not joined for the most part - thereby slowing down the writing process.

From my perspective, like most people your generation, maybe 1 in a 100 can write properly. To write fast you need to write in 'running writing' style, like Carrot's 1st z with the nice loop. 99 out of 100 cannot write properly because no one has taught them how to - now that most communication is done electronically.

Last year I offered to 'teach' people how to write for nothing but the response wasn't great. Such a pity since I know quite a fair bit about handwriting and can pass on my knowledge. If there is enough genuine interest, I'd be happy to have an informal 'workshop' to demonstrate handwriting as it should be done, according to me in any case.

My handwriting is fast but atrocious unless I am writing something for someone else / writing up a completed proof. Then its slow and legible.

My own handwritten notes, (especially mathematical!) jump all over the place wherever I can find space on the page haha.
Thankfully I can latex important things.

Persist with trying to improve. Failing to write legibly will cost you when the final exams arrive.

yeah i'm planning to really work on it after this set of exams in the holidays
it needs to improve before hsc, ideally before next set of assessments
i was thinking of trying a completely new writing style and practising each letter
