Are we allowed to take the exponent of the give expansions? Because I am not sure if that is "breaking" the laws of University Mathematics.

I think the answer for the expansion you gave is wrong. The answer I got seems correct and WolframAlpha agrees with me...

There doesn't seem to be a faster way for the second solution that I can think of. :/ Guess it's pure algebra.

For the second part I got cosxsinx + isinhycoshy / cos^2xcosh^2y + sin^2xsinh^2y.

How do I go on from there?

Nevermind I got it... Been too long since I've done math, forgot about cos^2x = 1 - sin^2x...
