which year hsc exam do you guys reckon was the hardest? and the easiest?

2006 for me was the easiest. Not sure what was the hardest, can't remember lol.

Going back a bit, but 1993 was quite hard. Haven't looked at it recently enough to compare to 2011, but it is probably of similar difficulty, I remember the Coroneos solution to Q8 was badly wrong!

Yeah generally the older ones are usually the hardest. Just looking through a couple of the questions gave me chills.

Hardest would have to be 1916. There were two papers.

2008 was definitely difficult. 2010 was my paper; not the hardest, but up there with regard to the second half of the paper.

I cannot recall exactly, would have to dig up my sisters book somewhere. (It is an ancient book now, all badly typeset etc. If I find time tomorrow I will take a photo of the page...)

hardest I have done was probably in the earlier years. The easiest was 2006-2007 for me.

Hardest would have to be 1916.

It is difficult to make comparisons between the Leaving Certificate and the HSC because the 1957 Wyndham Report and subsequent <a href="http://www.legislation.nsw.gov.au/sessionalview/sessional/act/1961-47.pdf">1961 Education Act</a> added an extra year to high school since 1967. The Leaving Certificate was an exam sat by high school students in their final year at high school from 1916-1966 which would have been an equivalent to our Year 11. There was no Year 12 or Year 12 equivalent before 1967.

I haven't really looked at pre 2000
tests much but I have seen the Q8
that carrot was talking about and I'll
agree with him
