Still dont see why she didnt want to release it on the 07/07/07.
Maybe she did but others wanted to allow maximum profit for the OotP movie... If it was released before it, and some people were turned off by how the series ends, they might not want to watch the movie anymore. Also, that's the anniversery of the London Bombings. Might be a touchy date..?

21st July OMG OMG. I so cannot wait. (I know i've said that 32972983 times here) thanks Justin for the SMS hahaha

and 07/07 is the anniversary of the London Bombings, it's a bit like releasing some huge international thing on 9/11.

Justin, as much as I don't really care if you spoil it for people, as Reading Room mod I'll have to clean it up and really wouldn't appreciate you ruining it for me. Please don't. :(

Ahh all the action i miss when i stop trolling the HP threads for a day :)

OMG the excitement.

Was anything else mentioned in the press release about the release date? I cant seem to find anything...

Also i checked on my diary, its release for those of you still at school is the end of the term 2/3 holidays or the first week of term 3, so i think that will not be attended with far more important reading to do.

Yeah. Might pre-order it - I wouldn't like to be waiting in lines of thousands of people outside the bookstore waiting for it. I wonder who's going to die :(

Am going to go put my name down at dymocks tomorrow.

And lol, i've just been thinking about this book. I can't put it in words how tantalising it is. There is going to be just so much in it. I feel like passing out.

edit: 1000 posts!

Yeah. But at least once its over, i can read all of them in order and know all there is to know and pick up on things that wouldn't have meant anything to me back when i was reading it for the first time.

i still don't like the fact that cedric had to die =(

do u think it will be possible to withhold from readnig the book immediately and NOT find out about the ending? or is there no hope as spoilers and harry potter talk will be everywhere?

Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - 21 July 2007

Hey I'm trying to find out a couple of things about July 21st...and look at this!

1954 - The Fellowship of the Ring, the first part of The Lord of the Rings, is published in the UK. Someone wasn't satisfied with nicking a Willow tree, a Wormy character and a mentor with a long white beard...

Not to say that I don't approve ;)

OMG! I can't believe it! Party time! So what are we all doing for the release date? I'm going to preorder of course but I'm not sure where to get it from (Dymocks or Borders? Dymocks gave cake last time) we should all meet up this is going to be the biggest thing ever!!! Woohoo!

I also need to knit a new scarf in celebration. Excuse me. (I will also reread the books but I have to finish Hugo's Le Mis because I promised myself I'd read it posthsc)

Sorry people, but it's a bit silly to be pre ordering from Dymocks or whatever. Big W always has more than enough copies if you get there before closing time, and you8 get 1/3 off RRP for all books.
