There is no explanation good enough to return my faith in Snape. I hate him... with a passion un-explanable. Even if those 'Dumbledore told him to do it' rumours are true (prrt) then he should have said no.
I don't care if there are explanations.

What about the unbreakable vow? And as everyone has already mentioned Dumbledore thinks he's good, maybe JK Rowling is giving us a clue

Would be crap if he turns out bad, but awesome if Voldemort or Harry or anyone kills him.
