Has anybody who recieved a school reference actually used it? (1 Viewer)

Also, what's the significance of it? Do I really need one?

I'm asking because I forgot to submit my form to recieve a reference and now it's too late. I'm worried that I need it when applying for uni or when applying for jobs.

Except on applications for and to Unis and scholarships, they're pretty redundant. I mean when you go for work or traineeships they always ask for current and standing references.

i used them for scholarships, also some of the colleges for accommodation ask for them but i don't think it's compulsory... so yeah i wouldn't worry too much about it

from my experience with friends and cousins, they normally get asked to provide one other than their schools one.
