For our Telling The Truth assessment we're meant to write up a lecture for high school students, with 2 episodes of Frontline and 2 related texts. Has anyone had any experience in this kind of thing?

Wow, what an interesting form of assessment. Goes to show you that the english faculty is "still with the times" :p I'd tackle this on as a speech with overheads :) oh, and walk around the room abit and use lots of gestures and expressions in your voice :)

Oh, but it's only a hand-in, doesn't involve any oral presentations. The written task is max 2000 words. There's not much info i can find on how to write a lecture coz it's such a rare text type!

Oh okay.. well, again, i'd set it out like a speech. But since it's hand in write actions in italics like:
Mike is presented as a warm, knowlegdeable and a man with power in his promo. The shot of Mike where he tells 'Emma' to "edit it there" insert overhead of Mike and Emma, enforces his control and dominance over his colleagues. This is ironic as Mike is the antithesis of these traits

ask your teacher if the "actions" count towards your word count. Let me think of others.. :)

Every single one of my english classes was a Uni-style lecture!

Kimmeh's ideas were pretty good. I might also suggest little side notes such as comment boxes, with little reminders such as "Bring up palimsest here" etc etc.
