Re: Has anyone?

Not myself personally (I'm picking up 4u :D ), but I know a number of people at my school are dropping out of general maths.

Not that I'd know why anyone would want to drop out of maths ;)

Re: Has anyone?

hey there!
haha okay so i dropped maths at the beginning of the year and is 100% the best decision i have ever made school wise

actually surprisingly alot of girls in my grade dropped it (around 6 and its a selective school too!)
and probably a couple more will for the HSC.

you do sometimes feel like your brain has no mathematical stimulation, and its a little hard to do simple calculations cos of the lack of practice

but its still okay and you stress out waaaay less than everyone else during exam time because it is very time consuming.

so i would advise you to drop it + you get lots of free periods! (well i do)
hope that helps!

I thought you have to do the course again if you get an "N award".

If you get 3 N-Awards you are prohibited from even continuing with the course. You are not even given the chance to repeat, as far as I know.

Re: Has anyone?

I dropped it at the start of year 11, and science too.

It easily was the best decision I've made.

Re: Has anyone?

I don't do Maths and it has been one of my better decisions, however, at the moment I am regretting is as I don;t have enough units to get out of Extension English having dropped it. Although I hate Extension English, I get lots of frees an study periods and I am so more relaxed!
