Yeah, I've read them all. In order from best to worst:

Angels and Demons, The Da Vinci Code, Deception Point (can hardly remember this and I read it last!), Digital Fortress.

Digital Fortress had some very interesting material it could have gone into (crypto, the NSA) but it flunked.

Hmm, I'd have to disagree with you Anti. I feel that Digital Fortress is so much more involving for those who have an avid interest in (or a sound knowlege of) Maths or Science. Your knowlege kind of guides you, and you can in a way break the codes before the author throws the answers at you.

Edit: Nevertheless there are some technical errors. See if you can find them :D (you only need to know basic chemistry and the theory behind programming...)

Only read Da Vinci Code - it rocks beyond words - and Angels and Demons which was awesome too.

I personally thought DVC was mainstream trash. But that's just me.

TDVC is really good for the first half, but towards the end it start to fall apart a bit.

Are all of his books about symbology/cryptology?

I do computer science, and the only subject I'm studying this session is Cryptography .. go figure, shazzam. :)

As I said, I enjoy the material. I'm very interested in linguistics and cryptography. The problem I found was in the construction of the novel itself.

Yep Anti, I realized that but was too lazy to change my post:D Apologies.

I was just excited because I found so many mistakes, but I guess that's not a good thing for the book itself.

Yes. They're overrated but solid light fiction with an interesting background to an otherwise cliche-ridden plotline.

Angels and Demons is my favourite, though. Had some great twists.

Yes.

I agree, Angels and Demons was much better than Da Vinci Code IMO. The other two were mediocre.

I agree with Stephen Fry who said they were "arse-gravy of the worst kind". I could probably do a better job than Brown. Actually, I have done a better job before. Wasn't too difficult, either.

I'd have to agree but nonetheless, its a good 'airport' read.

All books have the same plot but the 'best' depends on what intrigues you the most.

Are you into poltical speculation?
Then read Deception Point

Technology and computers?
Digital Fortress

Religion/Science conflict and debate?
Angels and Demons

And I assume you have already read the Da Vanci Code...
