im a unsw student and when i go to my fee statement it says i owe $0.00 while stating that
Liability Status: Deferred Pay Option Post 05
and they've deferred the whole cost of my semester 1 fees (when what i want to do is make an up front payment). i'm confused cos the payment options i selected were (as taken from my hecs/help summary page):
11. In what way do you intend to pay your student contribution?
OBTAIN A HECS-HELP LOAN FOR ALL OR PART OF MY STUDENT CONTRIBUTION AMOUNT
(You must provide your TFN or a certificate from the Tax Office on or before the census date)
I DO INTEND TO MAKE A PARTIAL UPFRONT PAYMENT OF MY STUDENT CONTRIBUTION AMOUNT
(Payments of $500 or more will attract a 20% discount)
are these right?
my intentions are to pay the minimum $500 upfront payment but how can i when it says i have *no outstanding balance*?? and when i go to payment options it says the amount due is $0.00
i don't know if i'm exactly explaining myself properly but can anyone make sense of my jiberish?
i already went to student central today and they didn't make it any clearer but it looks like ill have to try asking again tomorrow.
