HECs ... when/how do you apply??? (1 Viewer)

I have just accepted my offer for B Engineering/Science course at ANU.

It said i would receive info about enrolment in the mail... i got a letter with the offer on it but no enrolment stuff or HECs stuff either. When do I need to go apply for HECs?

Since you pay fees per course you enrol in, you can't apply for HECS until after your enrolment is completed. The uni will give you instructions on completing your Request for Commonwealth Assistance later on, I believe most unis, including ANU, tell you to do it on enrolment day.

At ANU you do it on enrollment day. You'll turn up, sign up for some courses, follow arrows on the ground and end up at a library. Here you'll complete your HECS form on the computer and receive your ID card.

Its all quite easy once you're there.

Remember to bring your Tax File Number.

but all i did was enter my tax file number online during the unsw enrollment. Is that all i have to do for hecs?
