Are you an undergraduate Student who wants to go overseas on exchange?
Special scholarship opportunities are now available for 2007
Macquarie University, in conjunction with the Department of Education,
Science and Training, is offering a number of special exchange
scholarships for 2007. These scholarships are part of the University
Mobility in Asia Pacific program (UMAP), designed to promote Student
mobility and strengthen ties with institutions in the region.
Who is eligible? You must be an Australian citizen or Permanent
Resident and participating in an undergraduate program of study.

Semester 1 2007 to the following countries are-
1st August 2006- USA, Canada, Japan and ISEP Programs
1st September 2006- Rest of the World

Where can I go?
CHINA
Beijing Language and Culture University
One UMAP Cheung Kong scholarship for AU$5000 is available, in addition
to a Macquarie University Travel grant of AU$2000. Students must be
enrolled in a degree within the Economics and Finance Department
(BCom-Acc, BAppFin, BBA). For more information, check out the website-

KOREA
Sookmyung Women's University
One UMAP scholarship for AU$4000 is available, in addition to a
Macquarie University travel grant of AU$2000 for any Student (female
or male) to study at Sookmyung Women's University. Sookmyung offers an
extensive range of courses in English, including Liberal Arts,
Science, Business and Law. For more information, check out the website-

FIJI
University of South Pacific
Two UMAP scholarships for AU$4000 each are available, in addition to a
Macquarie University travel grant of AU$2000 for Students to study at
USP. USP offers an extensive range of courses, specializing in Marine
biology, Social Sciences, Education and much more. For more

CHILE
Universidad del Desarrollo, de Catolica & de Los Andes
Five UMAP scholarships for AU$4000 each are available, in addition to
a Macquarie University travel grant of AU$4000 for Students to study at
one of the above Chilean institutions. All institutions offer a range
of courses in Business and Humanities areas (High Spanish language
proficiency required).
MEXICO
La Salle University & University of Monterrey
Five UMAP scholarships for AU$4000 are available, in addition to a
Macquarie University travel grant of AU$4000, for Students to study at
one of the above institutions. University of Monterrey offers a range
of courses in International Relations and Business, in both English and
Spanish. High Spanish language proficiency is required for La Salle.
RUSSIA
St Petersburg & Moscow State Universities
Three UMAP scholarships of AU$4000 are available, in addition to a
Macquarie University travel grant of AU$4000 for Students to study at
either of the above institutions. Students may chose to study all
levels of Russian language while on exchange, or chose from a range of
courses taught in Russian, including Humanities, History and Literature.
USA
University of North Carolina (UNC) & Disney Internship Program
Eight UMAP scholarships of AU$4000 are available, in addition to a
Macquarie University travel grant of AU$3000 for Students to
participate in this unique opportunity to spend a semester at UNC and an
additional semester doing an internship with Disney! For more information,
