Help - clothing for uni ball (1 Viewer)

Ok so here's the story. I wasn't going to go to the uni ball and now i have decided to go and its in like two weeks. I spent all day in the city yesterday trying on dresses and stuff and it was so bad. I swear every dress I put on looked really crappy or wasn't in my size- and that made me feel like absolute shit. Anyways so I found this really pretty flowy bright pink silk skirt by Charlie Brown that goes to about 15cm above my ankle. I need something to go with it. On the manakin there was this really cute tank top with beads but it was like $200 and a silver belt. I have a limit of about $70 for a top. I have looked at sportsgirl, portmans, myer, david jones, etc. and still haven't come up with a top. Does anyone have any ideas for a different type of top or a similar type of top in a shop in the city (Sydney). Also it must be a size 14-16 - so please don't give me an ideas for supre or the like as I can't stand to trying to squeeze into any more tiny things. Thanks heaps.

sport girls has some nice dressy top, so does newyork and many other stores , then again, if the skirt is bright pink, go for a nice black singlet with beads. theyre not hard to find im sure! goodluck

I don't have a photo but its really soft silk that flows really smoothly. I'm going back to the city next week to have another look at sportsgirl and the miss shop in myer.

That sounds great, teamed with some white or silver heels and overdone jewellery. You could also wear a black booktube, or brown.

You should be able to get a belt cheaply somewhere.
